Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread, cubed
  • 4 cups milk
  • 4 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  2. Whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  3. Coat the cubed bread in the custard mixture, stirring gently.
  4. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and a knife comes out clean.
  6. Cool slightly before serving warm, optionally with cream or ice cream.

Notes

Use stale bread for better texture and feel free to experiment with dried fruits or nuts.
