  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Fold in the fresh blueberries gently.
  5. Mix the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and egg in another bowl.
  6. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
  7. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface until it comes together.
  8. Shape the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into wedges.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly before serving.
