A simple yet delightful dessert featuring sweet blueberries and a rich cake layer, perfect for any gathering.

  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the blueberries by spreading them evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Mix the cake mix, sugar, and water in a bowl until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter over the blueberries, spreading it evenly.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the batter.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Let cool before serving and enjoy warm, possibly with ice cream.
