Deliciously warm Blueberry Crumble Bars embody the essence of comfort food, combining fresh blueberries with a perfectly spiced oat topping.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
  3. Pour in the melted butter and vanilla extract, then mix until crumbly.
  4. Reserve a cup of the mixture for later topping.
  5. Press the remaining mixture firmly into the bottom of the greased baking pan.
  6. Spread the fresh blueberries evenly over the crust.
  7. Sprinkle the reserved crumble mixture over the blueberries.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  9. Cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
