A delightful Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish that combines flaky puff pastry with rich cream cheese and fresh blueberries, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles.
  3. Mix the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry rectangle.
  5. Top with fresh blueberries.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal.
  7. Brush the top of each danish with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let the pastries cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.

Notes

Use softened cream cheese for easy mixing. Don’t overcrowd the filling when sealing.
