  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix the spice blend: In a small bowl, combine paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture generously over each salmon fillet, coating all sides.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Cook the salmon in the skillet, skin-side down if applicable, for 4-5 minutes on each side until blackened and cooked through.
  5. Serve with fresh lemon wedges on the side, squeezing lemon juice over the salmon just before eating.

Notes
