A delightful blackberry pie made with fresh blackberries, sugar, and a buttery crust, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  3. Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface and place it in your pie dish.
  4. Pour the blackberry mixture into the crust and dot with butter.
  5. Cover with another layer of pie crust or create a lattice top.
  6. Brush with egg wash if using.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
