Delicious baked donuts filled with blackberry jam and topped with a crunchy crumble. Perfect for brunch or a sweet afternoon treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup blackberry jam or filling
  • 1/2 cup butter (for crumble)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for crumble)
  • 1 cup flour (for crumble)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for crumble)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Mix the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, gently stirring until just mixed.
  5. Fill each donut mold halfway with batter. Add a teaspoon of blackberry filling into each mold, then cover it with more batter until it’s almost full.
  6. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. For the crumble, mix the butter, brown sugar, flour, and vanilla in a bowl until the mixture is crumbly.
  8. Once the donuts are out of the oven and slightly cooled, sprinkle the crumble topping generously on each donut. Let them cool completely before serving.
