A delightful twist on the classic Big Mac, this casserole combines seasoned ground beef, tangy pickles, and a rich creamy sauce, all beneath a blanket of melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1/2 cup Big Mac style sauce (or Thousand Island dressing)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce (for serving)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sautéing aromatics: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
  2. Brown the beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Whisk the creamy mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, mayonnaise, and heavy cream until smooth and creamy.
  4. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly into a greased baking dish.
  5. Layering with flavor: Drizzle the top with the Big Mac sauce, sprinkle the diced pickles all over, and generously top with the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  6. Add the creamy topping: Pour the egg mixture evenly over everything.
  7. Bake to perfection: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish & serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and garnish with fresh shredded lettuce and an extra drizzle of Big Mac sauce.
