A decadent chocolate cake soaked with sweetened condensed milk and caramel, topped with whipped cream for an indulgent treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping
  • 1 chocolate bar (for garnish)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Mix the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the top.
  5. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the warm cake.
  6. Drizzle the caramel sauce on top.
  7. Let the cake cool completely.
  8. Spread the whipped topping over the cooled surface.
  9. Garnish with grated chocolate and nuts, and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Pairs well with coffee or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
