A light and airy dessert featuring a crisp meringue shell, fluffy whipped cream, and vibrant mixed berries.

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • Mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the egg whites in a large bowl with a hand mixer or stand mixer until stiff peaks form.
  3. Add the granulated sugar gradually while continuing to beat until glossy and stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold in the white vinegar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract gently.
  5. Spoon the meringue onto the lined baking sheet, shaping it into a round disk with a slight indentation in the center.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 90 minutes, then turn off the oven and let it cool completely inside.
  7. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  8. Top the cooled meringue with the whipped cream and arrange the mixed berries on top.
  9. Finish with fresh mint leaves for garnish and serve.

Notes

Ensure all equipment is clean for proper egg white whipping. Don’t skip the cooling phase to avoid cracks.
