A tender and flavorful slow-roasted beef brisket, perfect for celebrations and family gatherings.

  • 1 (5-6 pounds) beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Mix together the kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
  4. Sear the brisket in a skillet with olive oil until browned.
  5. Place sliced onion and minced garlic in the roasting pan and position the brisket on top.
  6. Pour the beef broth around the brisket.
  7. Cover the pan with foil and bake for 4-5 hours.
  8. Rest the brisket for 20-30 minutes after removing from the oven.
  9. Slice against the grain into thick pieces and serve.

Notes

Serve with sides like coleslaw or roasted vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
