A classic Beef and Broccoli stir-fry that combines tender beef and crisp-tender broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for quick weekday dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thin, flank or sirloin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, mix sliced beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat the Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef from the pan.
  3. Sauté the Broccoli and Garlic: In the same pan, add more oil if needed. Toss in minced garlic, followed by broccoli florets. Stir-fry until bright green yet crisp.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Return the beef to the pan, pour in beef broth and oyster sauce. Cook until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
  5. Serve Up Your Creation: Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add sriracha or red pepper flakes while cooking. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
