A comforting and flavorful Beef and Broccoli stir-fry that evokes nostalgia while being quick to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thinly)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix thoroughly to ensure the beef is coated well. Let it marinate for 15 minutes while you gather your other ingredients.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté it until fragrant, stirring frequently.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan in a single layer, ensuring it’s not overcrowded. Stir-fry until the beef is browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add in the broccoli florets and beef broth. Cover the pan and allow it to simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove the lid and check the seasoning. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve your Beef and Broccoli hot.

Notes

Pairs beautifully with steamed jasmine rice or fried rice. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
