A comforting and flavorful stir-fry dish featuring tender beef, crunchy broccoli, and a savory sauce, perfect for any family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to tenderize and infuse flavor.
  2. Heat the Skillet: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Stir-Fry the Beef: Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Flavor Up the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, ginger, and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is vibrant and just tender.
  5. Combine Everything: Add the beef back to the skillet, pour in the beef broth, and stir together. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot over rice.

Notes

To enhance flavor, serve with jasmine or brown rice. Consider adding spring rolls or cucumber salad for a refreshing side.
