A delightful blend of creamy toffee, ripe bananas, and whipped cream, all nestled in a buttery pie crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-baked pie crust
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions

  1. Create the toffee filling by cooking the sweetened condensed milk in a pot over low heat for about 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and turns caramel in color. Let it cool.
  2. Assemble the toffee layer by spreading the cooled toffee filling evenly in the bottom of the pre-baked pie crust.
  3. Layer the bananas by slicing them and arranging them over the toffee layer, ensuring each slice sits beautifully above the rich caramel.
  4. Whip the cream in a mixing bowl with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form, then spread it over the bananas.
  5. Garnish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder to add elegance and flavor.
  6. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to meld the flavors and firm up the whipped cream.

Notes

For a quicker option, pre-made toffee sauce can be used. Stir sweetened condensed milk regularly to prevent burning.
