  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt, then stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
  5. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

Use overripe bananas for the sweetest flavor. Don’t skip the resting period; letting it cool is key for the perfect texture.
