Light and flavorful wraps filled with savory chicken and fresh vegetables, perfect for a casual dinner party or as an interactive meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 8 to 10 large lettuce leaves
  • Chopped scallions and cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Sauté the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  2. Brown the ground chicken until nicely caramelized, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the grated carrot and bell pepper; cook for an additional minute.
  5. Assemble by spooning the chicken mixture into lettuce leaves and topping with chopped scallions and cilantro.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat the chicken mixture and serve in fresh lettuce leaves.
