A fluffy and delightful vanilla cake that’s perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  7. Mix until just combined and smooth.
  8. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before turning out onto wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, ensure butter and eggs are at room temperature before mixing.
