Delightful soft and fluffy rolls stuffed with sweet strawberries and topped with a luscious glaze, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for filling)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Whisk thoroughly.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and egg until blended.
  3. Form the Dough: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until cohesive. Knead by hand for about 5 minutes.
  4. Let the Dough Rise: Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm environment until doubled, about 1 hour.
  5. Prepare the Strawberry Filling: Mix chopped strawberries with 1/4 cup sugar and vanilla extract.
  6. Shape the Rolls: Roll the dough out and spread the strawberry mixture evenly over it, then roll up tightly and cut into 8 pieces.
  7. Second Rise for the Rolls: Place in a greased baking dish, let rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  8. Bake to Perfection: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Glaze the Rolls: Mix powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of milk and drizzle over warm rolls.
