A bright and tangy orange curd that serves as a versatile delight for spreading, swirls, or toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • Zest of 2 oranges
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the fresh orange juice, zest from the oranges, sugar, and eggs until well combined.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook the mixture while stirring constantly until thickened.
  3. Strain the curd through a fine sieve into a bowl.
  4. Stir in the cubed unsalted butter until completely melted and blended.
  5. Season with salt and let the curd cool before storing in an airtight container.
