Soft and fluffy gluten-free donut holes that evoke childhood memories, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin pan.
  2. Mix together the gluten-free flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Whisk together the applesauce, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin pan, filling each well about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let them cool slightly before removing them from the pan.
  8. Enjoy your gluten-free donut holes warm or at room temperature.

Notes
