A silky, fluffy classic vanilla buttercream frosting that’s perfect for cakes and cupcakes.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter in a large bowl using an electric mixer until creamy.
  2. Introduce the powdered sugar gradually, mixing on low speed until combined.
  3. Add the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Whip on high speed for 3 minutes until the frosting is smooth and fluffy.
  5. Time to frost! Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Butter must be at room temperature for best results. Sift the powdered sugar for a smoother texture.
