A simple yet scrumptious Banana Walnut Bread that’s perfect for breakfast, tea, or a comforting snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas, blending them into a luscious mixture.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and quickly mix them in to activate the baking soda.
  6. Add the flour and stir until just combined. Don’t overmix!
  7. Gently fold in the chopped walnuts, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it out evenly.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack. Slice and enjoy!
