Delightful and colorful cookies filled with blue chocolate chunks, bringing joy and nostalgia to any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 cup blue chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup blue sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the blue chocolate chunks and blue sprinkles if using.
  6. Scoop generous portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
